“Since I was a child, I have had a love for puzzles. My father tells the story of me dismantling a vacuum cleaner at age 2, and helping him build a bookcase at age 3. Volumes of “How Stuff Works” sat on my bookshelf throughout my early life, and I could always be found taking stuff apart, and building new inventions from random objects.
Designing and building furniture for over 25 years, I have always had a love for secret compartments. When the need for some safe storage came up at home, my wife decided that she did not want a big ugly safe that told the world “here is our stuff”. I knew that I could incorporate several larger compartments into a wall unit bookcase that I was planning, so I built the first QLine SafeGuard Shelving System, and the rest is history.

All of our secret compartment furniture is built by hand in our workshop in Kingston, NH. Each piece is meticulously crafted to ensure that it lasts for generations. When designing a new piece or a custom project, the overall design comes first. Quality is the most important thing to us.
